Sharing What We Have: A Mission of Love

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
— Acts 2:42

Breaking bread and prayer.

Simple words.
A way of living.

To gather. To share what we have. To make sure no one is left out.

That call hasn’t changed.

At St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, a ministry of the Daughters of Charity, nearly 3,000 medically tailored meals are prepared and delivered each day to homebound seniors across Los Angeles County.

This is our breaking of bread.
This is our prayer.

The challenges are real. Resources are stretched. The need is growing.

But for nearly fifty years, this work has continued—because of you.

And as we look ahead, that same call remains:

To show up. To share. To care.

So that no one is forgotten.

Because of you, we will continue—bringing food and love, one person at a time.

And together, we thrive.
