Welcome, 2026!
Dear Friends-
As we begin a new year, I find myself looking ahead not by leaving the past behind, but by carrying forward what has sustained us.
For nearly five decades, St. Vincent Meals on Wheels has shown up in the same way—preparing and delivering food and love to homebound seniors across Los Angeles County. Founded by the Daughters of Charity and shaped by St. Louise de Marillac’s belief that service is rooted in presence and care for the whole person, this ministry has endured through changing times, rising need, and uncertain seasons because people have remained faithful to its purpose.
As we move into a year that brings us closer to our 50th anniversary, I do so with a deep sense of gratitude and responsibility. This milestone is not about celebration alone. It is about honoring the donors, volunteers, staff, and leaders who have carried this mission forward—often quietly, often without recognition—ensuring that seniors are fed, visited, and not forgotten.
The year ahead will ask much of us, as it always has. But I begin it grounded in what I know to be true: when we stay rooted in food and love, when we continue to show up one senior at a time, the work holds.
I look forward with you—steadied by those who came before us, strengthened by those who stand with us now, and committed to continuing this ministry so that the seniors we serve are able to thrive.
With gratitude,

Veronica Dover, CEO, Executive Director
