Our Mission is Clear

"The love of God and the love of our neighbor have become one love in my heart." – St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

As a ministry of the Daughters of Charity, our mission is clear: to serve those most in need with humility, simplicity, and charity. With tens of thousands of hot, often medically tailored meals prepared and delivered each month, we aim to embody the spirit of love and compassion for homebound and hungry seniors in Los Angeles facing food insecurity—many of whom are isolated and in desperate need of support.

In light of recent federal budget cuts that threaten vital food programs, the demand for our services is increasing while resources are diminishing. St. Vincent Meals on Wheels delivers nearly 3,000 hot meals daily, demonstrating our commitment to nourishing both body and soul. However, we cannot meet this rising need without your help. We depend heavily on the kindness of individuals like you to sustain our efforts, especially during these difficult times when vulnerable seniors might be left behind.

By donating to SVMOW, you not only provide nourishment but also support our holistic approach, which seeks to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those we serve. Your contribution helps us cultivate a compassionate community where we listen, engage, and take action for our brothers and sisters who are often overlooked.

Our work, together with your support embodies the interconnectedness of love and service to ensure that no senior goes hungry and that everyone feels respected and valued. Please consider donating today to support our mission and help us continue our work throughout Los Angeles County. Your generosity can truly transform lives, allowing us to thrive as a community.

Thank you for being part of this vital effort. Together, we can create a lasting impact.
