Merry Christmas!
Christmas invites us to pause and remember what this day asks of us: to draw close, to notice one another, to meet need with tenderness and care. The birth we celebrate today reminds us that love enters the world quietly—through presence, humility, and attention to those who are most vulnerable.
This past year asked a great deal of all of us. Rising costs, budget cuts, and uncertainty pressed in from every side. Seniors felt it early and deeply, asking the same question again and again: Will you still be able to bring my meal?
Our answer remained yes.
Because donors, volunteers, staff, and leadership stepped up in remarkable ways, we continued to do what this mission has always done—prepare and deliver food and love to homebound seniors across Los Angeles County. Meals went out. Doors were knocked on. Promises were kept.
At Christmas, we hold this with gratitude—not as an achievement, but as a reflection of who we are called to be. Showing up quietly. Remaining faithful. Bringing care where it is needed most. This is how love takes shape—simply, faithfully, and close at hand—so that our seniors are not only fed, but remembered and supported, able to thrive.
