Keeping the Circle Strong
“Serve one another humbly in love.” — Galatians 5:13
At St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, love is something we do.
Every day, we prepare and deliver hot meals to hungry and homebound seniors across Los Angeles County — a mission inspired by the Daughters of Charity, who have served the poor and the sick in Los Angeles since the 1850s.
We receive no government funding. Every meal, every visit, every act of care exists because of you — our generous donors and supporters. Your gifts keep our delivery vans moving and our kitchen humming. For many of our clients, we are both a safety net and a lifeline — the link that allows them to remain in their homes with dignity and hope.
Clients like James remind us why this work matters. After a stroke left him unable to walk and weighing just 95 pounds, our Medically Tailored Meals helped him regain strength, while our Home Sweet Home program added safety railings so he could move with confidence again.
“I couldn’t have gotten better without St. Vincent Meals on Wheels,” James said. “You helped me get back on my feet.”
Our Circle of Angels donors make stories like James’s possible — leading the way with gifts that sustain our programs and expand our reach.
Whether you’ve given once or for years, you are part of this circle of care. Together, we’ll keep doing what we do best: preparing and delivering food and love, so every senior we serve can not only live, but thrive.
