Holiday Gift Bag Packing

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. As the season approaches, staff and volunteers came together to prepare holiday gift bags for the homebound seniors we serve across Los Angeles County.

New and longtime volunteers worked side by side, filling bags with practical and comforting items—socks, lotion, large-print puzzles, and a few small surprises. Delivered alongside a warm meal, each bag is a simple reminder that our seniors are seen, remembered, and part of the season.

Among those helping were members of a Disney volunteer group that has supported our mission for more than 33 years, along with second-generation volunteers like Theresa, whose parents served in the early days of St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. Their presence speaks to the continuity of this work and the unbroken circle of care that carries it forward.

Because of our donors and volunteers, we’re able to keep showing up with food and love—and help ensure that no senior feels forgotten as the holidays draw near.
