Help Us Bring Joy to Seniors This Season

“If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, your night will become like the noonday.” — Isaiah 58:10

For many of the homebound seniors we serve, the holidays can feel quiet and uncertain — especially now, as federal budget cuts make it harder for older adults to afford food, medicine, and rent. But thanks to friends like you, St. Vincent Meals on Wheels continues to be the safety net that keeps thousands of vulnerable seniors nourished, connected, and cared for.

As a ministry of the Daughters of Charity, we prepare and deliver more than 3,000 hot meals every day across Los Angeles County — along with something just as important: reminders that no one will be forgotten.

Each year, we also fill Holiday Gift Bags with simple, meaningful items — a fluffy blanket, hand lotion, puzzle book, or cozy pair of socks — small comforts that bring warmth and dignity to those who might otherwise spend the season alone.

These gifts, made possible by your generosity, reflect the spirit that drives our mission: to serve with food and love, every day of the year.

If you’d like to help spread that spirit this holiday season, you can:

Together, we can make sure every senior we serve feels the warmth of community — and continues to thrive in body, mind, and spirit this holiday season.
