Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Your planning today helps feed homebound seniors tomorrow.
At St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, our calling is simple and enduring: feed the hungry, comfort the lonely, and bring love to the doorsteps of homebound seniors.
For nearly fifty years, this ministry of the Daughters of Charity has been carried forward by donors who believe that every senior deserves dignity — and that no one should grow older hungry or alone.
As the senior population continues to grow, so does the need for steady, reliable support.
One way many supporters strengthen the future of our mission is through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) — a simple tool that allows you to give with intention and sustain the work you care about over time. A DAF lets your generosity support our seniors through changing tax years, changing circumstances, and changing needs.
If you’d like to explore this option, Julie Delgadillo, our Director of Development, would be honored to help at 213-484-7775 ext. 120 or

WHAT IS A DONOR ADVISED FUND?
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) works like a charitable savings account:
You contribute what you choose, receive an immediate tax deduction, and recommend grants to nonprofits like SVMOW whenever you’re ready.
You don’t need great wealth to start — just a desire to give with purpose.
Why donors use DAFs:
- To support causes they love every year
- To plan their giving more intentionally
- To create a longer-lasting impact
