Embrace the Legacy of Sister Alice Marie with a Monthly Donation
“hope does not disappoint” – Romans 5:5
As we celebrate Sister Alice Marie Quinn’s 90th birthday, we honor her legacy and the profound impact she has made through St. Vincent Meals on Wheels (SVMOW). This milestone provides an opportunity to reflect on how SVMOW has built a bridge from the past to the present, keeping SAM’s dream alive and thriving.
Starting from humble beginnings in a church basement, we have developed into a provider of medically tailored meals from an FDA-certified kitchen. Our services have expanded as we continuously innovate, driven by SAM’s spirit of delivering the best we have to offer. Today, under creative and thoughtful leadership, we continue her mission to care for those most in need.
At St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, we find purpose in delivering food and love to our hungry and homebound clients. Our mission, rooted in the values of the Daughters of Charity, embodies compassion and commitment to treating the underserved with dignity and respect. Since the mid-1800s, their efforts have provided hope to the ill, elderly, and hungry.
Although SAM has been gone for nearly a decade, her vision continues to thrive. Our dedicated staff and volunteers deliver food and love to thousands across Los Angeles County, reflecting the teamwork and sacred reciprocity that nourish both those who serve and those who are served.
We are immensely grateful to our individual and corporate donors who make our mission possible. We invite you to honor SAM’s legacy by becoming a sustaining member through a monthly donation. Your ongoing support ensures that we can continue delivering both food and love to those who need it most.
Service isn’t just about giving; it’s a pathway to discovering hope and building a humanity where we thrive together. Thank you for being an essential part of this journey and for supporting the enduring legacy of SAM and the Daughters of Charity.
