Celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPI)

May is AAPI Heritage Month, and this year’s theme, “A Legacy of Leadership and Resilience,” invites us to honor the contributions of AAPIs to American history, society, and culture. It’s also a time for reflection on the AAPI experience today.

At St. Vincent Meals on Wheels and Hotel Dieu, we are committed to ensuring all voices are heard. Our community partnerships, especially with the Korean American Women’s Association (KAWA), are vital to our mission. For over 15 years, KAWA’s dedicated Volunteer Knitters have created blankets that bring warmth and comfort to thousands of homebound seniors.

These partnerships, along with the unwavering support of KAWA and our donors, are what keep our mission alive. Together, we can continue making a difference in the lives of those we serve. Join us in celebrating these incredible women and their heartwarming impact during AAPI Heritage Month and beyond.
