A Place Called Hope

Hope is a powerful thing. Every meaningful act of service begins with the belief that things can be better than they are today.

For generations, the Daughters of Charity served the people of Los Angeles, responding to the changing needs of a growing city with compassion and humility. They understood that meaningful service begins by listening.

Nearly 50 years ago, one Daughter of Charity saw a growing number of seniors aging alone. She believed they deserved more than a meal. They deserved dignity, companionship, and the comfort of knowing they had not been forgotten.

Guided by Vincentian values and driven by hope, she helped create St. Vincent Meals on Wheels.

Today, hope has an address: 2303 Miramar Street.

It can be found in our kitchen before sunrise. It rides along with every driver and volunteer. It arrives at doorsteps throughout Los Angeles County carrying food and love to seniors who might otherwise feel alone.

As we approach our 50th year of service, we are reminded that everything we have accomplished began with a simple belief: no senior should be forgotten.

With your support, that hope remains alive today—and will continue guiding us into the next 50 years.

Have a wonderful week ahead.
