Welcome to our video presentation, “On The Frontlines of Care: St. Vincent Meals on Wheels,” where you will hear and see the stories of our clients, such as Retired US Marine Mike Averill and Marie Crowe, a grandmother of 14 who, despite her many health issues, remains cheerful and grateful for the support and love she receives each day from the dedicated staff and volunteers at SVMOW. We also spotlight our drivers and meal runners, who are often the “eyes and ears” for our clients, most of whom are alone and living at or near the poverty level.

At St. Vincent Meals on Wheels (SVMOW), we take pride in being the nutritional and emotional first responders to the homebound community throughout LA County. Our dedicated team delivers thousands of meals daily, reaching clients across the vast expanse of Los Angeles County—from the Westside and beach cities like Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach to areas in South LA and Pasadena.

As we look ahead, we are confronted with a significant demographic shift known as the “Silver Tsunami.” By 2030, for the first time in history, California will have more residents over the age of 65 than those under 30. Within this landscape, LA County is experiencing the fastest growth of seniors facing food and housing insecurity. This reality underscores the increasing demand for our services, making your support more crucial than ever.
